Our first Sustainability Report: engineering the future of façades
We designed our stand by applying our modular and dynamic solar shading to the building envelope.
In architectural design every drawn line has an impact. At Sun Shading, we apply the same analytical rigor to our corporate footprint. With this spirit of transparency and pragmatism, we have drafted our first Sustainability Report for the year 2024.
Our sun shading systems are inherently born as sustainability tools: they guarantee solar control, promote passive cooling, and drastically reduce energy consumption for building cooling. But to be credible partners for the architects and designers of tomorrow, we decided to measure and optimize our internal processes (ESG) as well.
To obtain an objective and impartial evaluation, we relied on the Ecomate platform, within the European Enterprise Europe Network.
The analysis returned an ESG Rating of BB. In an energy-intensive and complex industrial sector like ours, we consider this result a solid engineering baseline. It is the blueprint upon which we are building the evolution of our production model.
The collected data guided our R&D department and the newly established Sustainability Directorate in defining high-impact strategic goals for future architectural projects:
Choosing a Sun Shading system means integrating a durable technology into the façade, produced by a supply chain that is evolving to meet the highest environmental standards.
We do not just provide solar shading, we engineer the physics of the building envelope with responsibility.
